Stone Work
Design Exterieur uses a vast array of natural stones to construct staircases, patios, walkways and dry walls that provide our clients with a man made feature that appear to have part of the natural landscape for years.

Due to the Quebec climate, Design Exterieur Inc tries to avoid the use of cement in almost all of the stone work. To compensate for the lack of cement being used as a stabilizing agent, we work with large stones that by their sheer weight alone will remain stable and level for decades. For each project we use the largest possible stones that are available and that can be manipulated into place.

In a small project, large stones may need to be manipulated by hand where as larger projects can be aided by the use of machinery to place the stones in a patio or staircase.
